Digital strategy for Germany’s largest funeral directors’ association
The Bundesverband Deutscher Bestatter e.V. (BDB), is the umbrella organisation of all funeral directors’ associations and guilds in the federal states and thus represents the interests of around 3,200 affiliated funeral parlours with a total of 4,800 branches in Germany.
Due to the strong competition on the internet, the association decided to expand and optimise its online presence in 2019. Thanks to a new digital strategy – focussed on end consumers – we have massively increased the visibility of bestatter.de, so that since its relaunch in 2020 the website has become the largest portal for grieving, support and death services on the German-speaking internet.
With consistent search engine optimisation (SEO), we were able to catapult the monthly visitor numbers from an average of 2,000 to over 300,000 users per month.
